Earlier this week, Poco announced that it is launching a new smartphone in the F series. Now, the company confirmed that it is bringing the rumoured vanilla F4 to the market. The smartphone is expected to make its global debut in India soon. As per previous teasers, the upcoming smartphone focuses on “everything you need,” and the latest teaser confirms this as the smartphone’s tagline.
The Poco F4 is expected to be a well-rounded smartphone rather than focusing especially on gaming, unlike the F4 GT. Previously, the company shared that immersive display and audio will be one of the key features of the upcoming smartphone. There is no word on when the Poco F4 will be released but we can expect it to hit the Indian shores soon. The Poco F4 is rumoured to be a rebranded variant of the Redmi K40S.
Poco F4: Likely specifications, price
The Poco F4 might feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 – a two-year chip which becoming a popular option in the premium mid-range segment. Further, the chipset would be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory under the hood. The F4 might boast a 4,500mAH battery with support for 67W fast charging.
On the optics front, the Poco F4 may come with a triple camera setup at the back. The rear camera setup is said to comprise a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro unit. It could have a 20MP sensor on the front for selfies. The smartphone is rumoured to have stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi K40S, launching as the Poco F4 cost, costs CNY 1899, which converts to Rs 22,068. So, we can expect the Poco F4 to be priced below Rs 25,000 in India.
